dc.description.abstract | This research is inserted in the Educational Management Course of the Graduate Program in Public Policies and Educational Management of the Federal University of Santa Maria / RS. The research intends to understand the process of transforming a democratic management to effectively participatory in the context of a public school in the outskirts of Santana do Livramento - RS. The intention was to promote a reflexive action, starting from the current conceptions of management of this community, drawing a parallel between the legal mechanisms that must guarantee a democratic process and the several factors that influence in the school space and that apparently are disregarded in the educational policies. Thus understanding the trajectory of this process of democratization in order to highlight the challenges and difficulties encountered in promoting a democratic management, with a view to improving the quality of teaching in this educational institution. Without the expectation of exhausting the possibilities of tapping and sensitizing the look at the school management of this community and considering that the process of democratization in this context is inspired by legal bases, it is evident in this mapping how much the segments of the analyzed school community do not feel participants in making decisions about the interests and proposals of management. The concept of school management for this group still maintains the centrality of the director, including the responsibility to promote an effective participative management, disregarding that all are agents of transformation in this path. | |
