Ações de educação em saúde na prevenção de eventos cardiovasculares - relato de experiência

This is an experience report on the development of a research and assistance developed with users in a municipality Basic Health Unit of Santa Maria, Central region of Rio Grande do Sul. The objective of the research was to assess the impact of actions health education with users who were diagnosed with systemic hypertension and / or diabetes mellitus, using the score of Framingham and contextualizing with the individual's lifestyle. The study included 12 people of both sexes, aged 35 and 74 years, and were five men and seven women. Three individual health education sessions were held in the period between August and November 2015, totaling 36 meetings. Living habits were raised, drugs used, frequency of intake of fruits and vegetables, and on top of this data has created an illustrative material that served as support to facilitate the understanding of the topics covered, ie the modifiable risk factors (activity physical, food, alcohol and tobacco). Doubts were clarified in the course of health education meetings. The experience allowed us to know the peculiarities of the individual and plan actions aimed at preventing health diseases, particularly the prevention of Cardiovascular Event.
