dc.description.abstractThe present work is included in the field of study of Special Education, focused on the specialty of High Skills/Gift. We were aimed at knowing and reflecting upon the concept of HS/G in such a modern Brazilian context. In order to accomplish them we adopted a qualitative methodology of a bibliographical sort, selecting the most evident and distinct scopes for analyzing those concepts. Between the collected materials we perceive there is not any perspective of conceptualization and, as well, of working and focusing in relation to HS/G people. From this perception, we suppose that there were a high level of achievements regarded to HS/G, however, the high divergence between the speeches reveal us that there are much to be done for the HS/G in the Brazilian context. Therefore, we do not want the full agreement, not even the convergence into a single discourse in relation to the HS/G; yet there should be highlighted that we can strengthen the knowledge of the HS/G in order to establish at least some collective goals.
