The students of class 206 of the State Institute of education João Neves da Fontoura have been protagonists of his knowledge in this research that established a retelling of the story of Cachoeira do Sul using educational technologies as the camera and the creation of a blog (virtual photographic portfolio). The methodology employed was the research-action which is a type of social research within a collective and participatory perspective where the object of study, the objective and the researcher will fall within the context of research with a view to achieving the full knowledge. The Act of photographing the landmarks "in loco" and with the creation of the blog the students recorded the considerations and impressions that had the methodology used in the study of the history of his municipality, transcribing through language of images your learning. The use of the technologies of the knowledge and tiring broke brought a new perspective on learning. The playful was introduced, the pleasure was revered and the collective participation of the students in front of the proposal showed how much this practice sparked a sense of preservation of its history, this historical heritage maintenance and fostered the same commitment with regard to create alternatives to sensitize the community to the preservation of its history, now abandoned.
