Acervos da ditadura: um estudo sobre a disponibilização no Arquivo Público do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

This paper presents an investigation into the collections AVAILABILITY OF DICTATORSHIP IN THE APERS (Public Archives of the State of Rio Grande do Sul). The importance of access to information based on the concepts of democracy, rights and freedom. The information creates a new importance, the right to information, as it acquires the legal significance, which aims to compose a new historical dimension of citizenship. To conduct the study was a questionnaire to the direction of APERS, with 10 open questions, so it was possible to collect information about the theme. Thus we can characterize the research as descriptive, qualitative approach. We also carried out research in the military dictatorship in scientific articles, dissertations and scientific publications, characterizing this as well as research literature. So we can see that the APERS comply with their duties as Archivist institution in order to provide information to researchers, and so, being an important tool for education.
