dc.description.abstractThis work aims at proposing a reflexion on the power relationship which is established in Santa Catarina State’s Public School Network. Relationships which lead to the political indication of managers and consequently prevent the creation of openings for institutional participation. Along this process there are serious limitations that characterize the educational system and educational institutions’ management within the public state network. From a qualitative methodological approach, the investigation brings upon an analytic and critical viewpoint under the form of the choice of school managers which triggers a deeper understanding on the interfaces of the exercise of power in education.
