Resumen
The current monograph was originated from a group of reflections reported while I
prepared classes and while I gave classes in the secondary education. These initial
observations took a character of historical analyses of the disturbed trajectory of
Philosophy in the Brazilian education. Therefore, the aim of the monograph was to
analyze the execution and introduction of the subject of Philosophy in the Brazilian
teaching, so as the limitations and restrictions which it was submitted during all the
Brazilian educational process, not only referring to the programs as to the practices
too. The investigation was made thorough a critical-reflexive boarding of the
documental and bibliographic material available. It was made an historical rescue of
the trajectory of the subject in Brazil and a brief retrospective of the duality of the
public and particular teaching. It was concluded that the subject of Philosophy, which
takes the students to reflect and to elaborate solutions for the presented problems, it
can contribute to the democratic management.
