This paper presents an analysis of the use of Facebook as a pedagogical tool in school practices carried out with two groups of 3rd year of primary education in a state school of Santa Maria . The overall objective is to identify the limits and possibilities of the use of Facebook social network as a teaching resource in the literacy process , from the perceptions of the acting subjects within the school context . One has the following objectives: learn the perceptions of students , parents and teachers about the use of Facebook as a pedagogical resource in educational practice and understand how the media work in the implementation of educational activities , and analyze school discourses on the use of media in the teaching of literacy practice. The methodology used a qualitative approach in the style research participant, with a view to pedagogical action exerted from the creation of the group " Cor-ner classes 31 and 34 " and from narratives of the subjects of the teaching and learning process. It is concluded that the creation of groups in social networks contributes to the construction of new learning , characterized as an innovative feature that is related to the reality of learners and the current technological advances . This relation-ship between social media and the school stands out as a plus point for the process of teaching and learning, giving it a dynamic and playful.
