dc.description.abstract | The Performance Evaluation has the main task to improve the programs’ management, public services and public policies. It is through this tool that is possible to know and to measure the performance of public employees, establishing a comparison between the expected performance and the performance presented by them. Therefore, the article’s aim is to analyze the importance of performance assessment in the public sector, identifying the main challenges and difficulties faced for its implementation. It was used the exploratory research method, besides, it was realized a literature review about the performance evaluation, exposing its importance, especially the challenges that complicates its implementation. This work aims to contribute and serve as a subsidy to cities that intend to implant the program of servants’ evaluation. The performance evaluation is considered fundamental to raise the public service efficiency. | |
