Sistemas de informação em saúde: uma ferramenta estratégica para organização da rede de atenção à saúde

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze systems of health information and its use by health teams seeking to integrate the health care network in a city in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul The study is characterized as an exploratory / descriptive structured from a qualitative approach . The research was developed in health services in the municipality of Santa Maria / RS. Data were collected from November 2013 to January 2014, totaling 27 participants, through semi-structured and analyzed through content analysis interview. The professionals have a low level of knowledge regarding Health Information Systems, revealing that do not have mastery of tools that systems offer. The systems are not used for planning actions and that these professionals to the management of the activity plan. The Health Information Systems has guiding function for actions in health services, and health professionals need to be trained and sufficient to fully develop the tools that these systems provide structure.
