Diagnóstico da importância do uso de EPI’S pelos colaboradores da construção civil

Abstract

Professionals linked to the building site, same those that don't act in the segment of Safety of the Work, know that the lack of the use of Equipments of Individual Protection (EPI's) is cause of most of the fatal accidents, happened in construction works, as well as in accidents with sequels that impede the accident victim of usually working again. Individual protection is obligatory requirement in the works and it cannot be seen as a choice subject. The height fall, for instance, can be avoided with the use of those equipments, as safety belt, restraint-falls. They are not just the works in height that need protection: the helmet protects the head of beats (as in pillars) and of fall of materials; safety's footwear avoids perforations and skin allergies (contact dermatitis) with cement and whitewash, as well as the gloves. The employer has the responsibility of guiding the employees, with relationship to the use of the equipments of individual protection, as well as to supply them these equipments. Therefore, due to importance that this theme has, it intended the accomplishment of this study, through a field research accomplished with 32 employees of a factory of pre-molded products and assembly of pavilions, that is placed in the municipal district of Santa Maria in Rio Grande do Sul.
