Refletindo sobre desinstitucionalização através das práticas de cuidado em saúde mental: uma revisão

Abstract

In front of the Mental Health’s changes, through Psychiatric and Sanitary Reforms further of other movements, it is still observed daily difficulties from psychosocial care network. One of those consists in subject’s chronification on services, pointing that the institutionalization perpetuates inside institutions. This study aims identify evidences in scientific articles about the new mental health network configuration, allowing the analysis of deinstitutionalized care practices and the difficulties that have been found. The method used was an integrative review of literature with qualitative research samples, with search of articles in databases Medline, Lilacs and Pubmed. The selected studies was categorized and subcategorized presenting the following results:1) Aspects in consonance with deinstitutionalized care practices; 2) Difficulties to be overcome.3) Strategies to overcome institutionalizing practices. It was perceived the coexistence of the asylum and psychosocial paradigms in the institutions, needing reformation in practices so the asylum mode do not overlap. The demand for more investments in mental health was also observed, what is essencial to overcome difficulties and consolidate confrontation’s strategies.
