A participação da família nas atividades de uma escola de educação infantil

The present work of monograph of the course of Educational Management, presents an analysis on the participation of the families in the activities of a public school of Early Childhood Education in the city of Sobradinho - RS. The aim of the research was to analyze the frequency and participation of parents in the activities that involve the school, to provide a reflection on the democratic management and the role of the manager in order to guarantee the participation of the school community in the pedagogical, financial and administrative decisions and to collaborate in the awareness of participation in the process and follow-up of children's school life in partnership with the school. The research was carried out through a qualitative research, based on my daily experience as a teacher in the school and through a questionnaire sent to the families of the maternal class of a public school of Early Childhood Education. These reflections start from the theories of Dourado (2007), Souza (2002), Andre (2003), Costa (2006), Veiga (1998), Souza (2009), Oliveira (2011), Fortunati which addresses some reflections on Democratic Management and family participation within the School of Early Childhood Education. We can perceive with the analysis of the answers that participation exists in the activities, only some families participate more than others, when requested at the request of the direction not demonstrating own initiative of involvement, but are aware of the importance of participating more of the school life of the child.
