dc.description.abstractThis paper discusses the importance of Democratic Management of Education as a way to promote the construction of autonomy and citizenship. Was performed through bibliographic research and case study to develop better the subject studied. The school management is key to building a democratic and autonomous schools that prepare students for citizenship. This management should be based on collegiate management in that community is to develop the pedagogical project, articulating the democratic perspective within the school and through him the school seeks autonomy and identity. The Educational Project must be built with the goal of bringing the school to solve their problems realistically. In addition, aims to encourage teachers to create alternatives to process their own teaching practice in a way that encourages autonomy and citizenship. It is expected therefore that the school manager can do this democratically joint.
