Introduction: The Multiprofessional Residency in Health comes to contribute to the training and qualification of health professionals, directly acting in the public system, in order to strengthen the multiprofessional work / training, mainly, providing necessary changes in the work process. Objective: This study describes the perception of the pedagogical role of tutors, field and nucleus, in the training of professionals residing in the Integrated Multiprofessional Residency Program in Management and Hospital Attention in the Public Health System. Methodology: Five tutors, two field and three core tutors participated in this research, who answered a semistructured questionnaire composed of 10 questions. Result/discussion: Through the analysis of the applied questions it was possible to infer the origin of the difficulties punctuated by the field and core tutors. Final Considerations: It was observed that the fragility in the role of the tutor is not directly related to these actors, but as a consequence of the lack of specific training to take office and the lack of valorization of the position.
