dc.description.abstractStatistical education is growing more and more through research and studies, knowing how to get it and how to understand it is fundamental for any individual. Therefore, a qualitative research was carried out with case study characteristics, with students from the 9th grade of Elementary School of a public school in the interior of Nova Palma / RS. This research was developed with the objective of investigating contributions in the use of electronic spreadsheets as a teaching tool in the learning of Statistics. Initially a pre-test was applied containing two questions that involved graphic interpretation and analysis of results. Next, the statistical process steps and segment graphs were presented. Following this, students explored some basic Excel spreadsheet commands for chart and chart construction, and developed two activities, one for light bill and the other for soybeans over the past twelve months. From this research it was verified that the use of spreadsheets, can provide students with a differentiated pedagogical practice, helping in the understanding of statistics.
