Resumen
The present research aimed to analyze the importance of the school community participation in the organization, planning and execution school activities as a form of responsible participation in the educational process. The question that involved the present work relates to the fact to detect how the school community exerts its function of law in the researched school and if the management school really occurs as it is provided for in the legislation. As a methodological procedure, a questionnaire was applied with open questions where students‟ relatives and teachers from the school informed the actions promoted by the school in order to promote the participation of the parents in the democratic school management. The analyzed reflections point to a reality that shows the stimulation by managers to the participation of the parents in the school life of their sons and they, being able to dialogue with the teachers and to the management team, feel welcomed and valued in the school environment. Those stimulations occur by the understanding and appreciation of this segment of the school community wishes. As a conclusion, we could observe that parents receive special attention and they are motivated to take part of the school management, joining external and internal school community in the search of dialogue and interaction, harmoniously, creating, in this sense, a welfare environment and the appreciation of all school segments.
