Ecoturismo en silla de ruedas : lineamientos para la puesta en valor ecoturístico del sitio Los Quillayes, Reserva Nacional Río Clarillo

Abstract

La sociedad cada vez se está interesando por temas ambientales, pero es importante señalar, que para muchas personas con discapacidad, visitar Áreas Silvestres Protegidas, no es más que un sueño, debido a la falta de infraestructura adecuada para este tipo de visitantes. El sitio “Los Quillayes” de la Reserva Nacional Río Clarillo es un lugar que ha implementado la idea de recibir visitantes con discapacidad, pero cabe destacar que aún no cuenta con algunos de los requerimientos necesarios para recibir a este tipo de personas. Para tal efecto, se realizó un diagnóstico y con ello se concluyó que el sitio presenta caminos de acceso con un ancho menor a lo establecido, algunos lugares son inestables y no presentan un fácil acceso, así como falta de acceso para disfrutar del río Clarillo, entre otros. Esta situación ha motivado, a través de esta memoria, a crear una propuesta de accesibilidad en el sitio “Los Quillayes”, Reserva Nacional Río Clarillo, cuyo objetivo es una valoración ecoturística del lugar, poniendo énfasis en los temas medioambientales y sobre todo, idear accesos aptos de acuerdo a las medidas mínimas que se necesitan para mejor comodidad y seguridad del visitante con discapacidad. A su vez idear un acceso al río, para que personas en silla de ruedas puedan disfrutar de las cristalinas aguas del río Clarillo al igual que cualquier visitante. Es importante señalar, que la idea de diseñar un modelo que permita a visitantes que requieran el uso de silla de ruedas, poder acceder a las cristalinas aguas del río, se considera como una propuesta beneficiosa. Se pretende que este acceso, sea una forma de integrar completamente a personas con discapacidad, a los atractivos naturales de la Reserva y a su vez, que esta idea sirva como modelo para ser implementada en otras instituciones tanto públicas como privadas.

At these times, society is very interested in environmental topics, but it is important to indicate, that for many people with disability, to visit Wild Protected Areas, is not more than a dream, due to the lack of infrastructure adapted for this type of visitors. The place “Los Quillayes " of the National Reservation Rio Clarillo is a place that has implemented the idea of receiving visitors with disability, but still it is necessary to emphasize that it does not have some of the necessary requirements to receive this type of persons. A research was realized, as a result it has concluded that the place presents access roads with a minor width to the established, some places are unstable and do not present an easy access, absent of access for to enjoy of Clarillo river, between others. This thesis represented the motivation of creating an offer to improve the accessibility in “Los Quillayes”, National Reservation Rio Clarillo, the main objective is the valuation of “Los Quillayes” as an Eco-touristic place, emphasising in the environmental topics and especially in the idea of designing suitable accesses according to the minimal requirement that are needed for better comfort and safety of the visitor with disability. At the same time, to design an access to the river, in order that people who use wheelchair could enjoy the crystalline waters of the Clarillo river likes any visitor. It is important to indicate, that the idea of designing a model which allows visitors who use wheelchair to be able to accede to the crystalline waters of river, it is consider as a beneficial offer. It is expected that this access be like a model to integrate in a complete way people with this kind of disability; integrate them to the natural attractions of the Reserve and at the same time, be as model to implement in other institutions either public or private.
