dc.description.abstractWe reported the final results obtained in a group of 30 patients with gastric cancer confined to the mucosa or submucosa (early gastric cancer) and in 29 cases with cancer infiltration up to the muscularis propria (intermediate gastric cancer).The clinical findings and postoperative course were presented. The five-year survival rate was 84% in early gastric cancer cases and 44% in intermediate gastric cancer patients. © 1976 Oxford University Press.
