dc.description.abstractThe reactions of CpFe(dppe)I with thiophenes in the presence of T1PF6 afforded the new complexes [CpFe(dppe)thiophenes]PF6 (thiophenes = thiophene, 2-methyl-thiophene, 3-methyl-thiophene, 2,5-dimethyl-thiophene, benzothiophene and dibenzothiophene). They were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 31P and 13C NMR as well as by UV-visible spectroscopic methods. Substitution of coordinated thiophenes in [CpFe(dppe)thiophene]PF6 complexes by neutral ligands occurs in mild conditions. Copyright © 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
