Air-dried aerial parts of Satureja danvinii (Benth.) Bdq. and Satureja multißora (R. et P.) Briíj. (Lamiaceae) collected in Chile at full flowering stage were hydrodistilled. The yields of essential oils were 0.68% and 0.57% v/w, respectively. GC-FID and GC/MS analyses showed that the major constituents of the oils were piperitenone (57.8%) and i.sonienth()ne (83.1%) in S. danuinii and S. parvifolia, respectively. These results are compared with others reported for the genus Satureja.
