Abstract

The objective of this academic paper is to analyse the role of landlord- tenant farmer association in the structure of landholding in eastern Tolima department from 1926 to 1936. Through the document is intended to prove that landlord- tenant association was a socio-political phenomenon that faced two ways of conceiving the structure of land tenure. On one hand a structure based on large estates and on the other a structure based on small farms. To prove this, we analysed and interpreted from several secondary sources of information, political and socioeconomic phenomenon of the landlord- tenant farmer relationship and its role in the structure of land tenure
