Resumen
Between 1945 and 1960 Juan Domingo Peron’s Argentina, conditioned to nationalism, took part on the internationalization of Antarctica, and thus, begun a symbolic contest with Great Britain to ‘represent’ a space that considered part of his 'New Argentina'. Evoking the 'geographical reasoning' and the oldest Argentine patriotism, Perón instrumentalized the scientific bases and austral cartographies to implement his speech. Ironically, the link with the Navy that allowed him internal and discoursive control, would be the same cause of his downfall.
