Resumen
The present research aims to explain how the implementation of the colombian foreign policy (performed between the years 2002 and 2006) influenced the weakening of FARC’s international lobby made by their International Commission in Europe. Through diplomatic, political, media and communication actions, the Colombian government developed a strategy, based on soft power in order to counteract and reduce the reach of the guerrilla (kept during decades in Europe) managing to discredit it and reduce the help it had. The qualitative research method will be used, using interviews with decision makers and other actors involved (primary sources), and publications on the rise and fall of Cominter in Europe (secondary sources).
