Las TIC en la administración de la cadena de suministro y su incidencia en el desempeño operacional

Abstract

The information technologies have become an important factor in each of the processes that are held in the supply chain. Its implementation and correct usage provide advantages to the companies that boosts the operational performance in the supply chain. The development and application of softwares have contributed to the integration among the different members of the chain; on that way, every partners from suppliers to customers can perceive improvements in the operational performance variables and its satisfaction level, respectively. On the other hand, it is important to regard that the implementation of information technologies does not always have positive performances, by contrast this process of implementation could be affected by some barriers that constrain the optimal benefits from IT.
