dc.description.abstractThis work was carried out during the first semester of 2011 as study based on Empacor, Colombian company that is one of the pioneering companies in the production and conversion of paper. Our objective is to find improvement opportunities that allow to know how the correct use of planning together sales and operations can create an organization environment where is possible to share information and generate processes of continuous improvement through all the Supply Chain, providing excellent customer service. Based on a great balance of demand and supply, balancing these items is essential to running a business well. We found that Empacor uses mechanisms within the organization as claims reports, using those mechanisms they can visualize the company: how customers see them and how the organization observe his customers without having a direct relation with them. The main thing within any interchange of goods and services is generate a competitive advantage and satisfy the customers request and to obtain in return the commercial value of the product continuing with its operation. Most of the organizations want to eliminate the uncertainty due a continuous interaction with the market and others actors in addition to know the behavior of each them, for this reason is valuable to generate trustful forecasts to keep a high customer service rate. Incorporating processes of collaboration throughout the organization is possible to include and understand them and to turn them into strengths must be the constant objective, for each of its members.
