Diagnostico potencial del sector pecuario en Sesquilé

In Colombia, the livestock sector is one of the most representatives for the growth and sustainability of the economy. The sector accounts for 9% of BIP, foreign sales account for 21% of total export value and generates 19% of national employment and 66% in rural areas. However, one of the environments most affected by this sector is the context of Sesquilé Municipality, Department of Cundinamarca, where production in the livestock sector has led to the dissatisfaction on the part of residents and farmers of the municipality.
This graduate work is developed under the methodology of Logical Framework Matrix, which presents a dynamic identification of the central problem that affects livestock and can pose different axes to find the best alternatives for improving the same, with the support of the Municipal Government, the Presidents of the Community Action Boards and residents.
To meet the objective of characterizing the livestock sector of the Municipality of Sesquilé, it was taken in account production and logistics variables, to identify alternatives to employment generation and income in the population. Problems that were identified at social, political, economic, technological and logistical factors, to which sets out a series of recommendations and guidelines on how to better exploit the potential opportunities of the sector.
