| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to analyze the importance of local governance in the processes of adaptation in Altos de la Estancia, Ciudad Bolívar. Starting from the premise that, in Altos de la Estancia, governance constituted through different actors, specifically those belonging to participation spaces such as the “Mesa Técnica de Trabajo” and “Mesa Interinstitucional” have gotten involved in the problem of vulnerability which they are subject, and through adaptive processes framed in political and social acts, they have tried to change the previously existing power relations. The research bases its analysis on the studies made by Mark Pelling on adaptation to climate change and local governance. | |
