Infancia, adolescencia y violencia en los periódicos impresos El Tiempo y El Espectador (2015)

Abstract

The following publication consists on an analysis of childhood and adolescence’s representation on context of violence at the Colombian newspapers El Tiempo y El Espectador in 2015. It starts from the explanation of the concepts of childhood, adolescence and violence to present them as social constructions in constant mutation. It also aims to explain their representation on media from communications theories, Children’s Rights and the suggestions made by media and childhood experts. Finally, a general balance of kids and adolescents’ representation in both media is developed.
