Resumen
Due to the problems of a sedentary lifestyle and physical inactivity school age and its implications for the development of chronic non-communicable diseases, an interest in performing qualitative analyzes that take into account social contexts in which this problem occurs, in order arises know, from the players involved in the communities, how it is carried out and understand how physical activity; therefore it raised in this research a narrative design in which we investigated, through in-depth interviews, about social representations and practices of physical activity carried nine physical education teachers belonging to three district schools Unit Zonal planning Tibabuyes in Suba in Bogota, Colombia. Results: Teachers understand physical activity as all kinds of human movement, likewise, is evidence that sports practices are dominant in schools. In relation to social conditions, it was found that the family aspect is a limiting factor for the development of the physical practices of the student. School and district policies downplaying physical education classes in the school curriculum and insecurity due to the consumption of psychoactive substances in the sector deteriorates sports and recreational areas such as parks and green areas.
