Abstract

In a rather unstable region whose Security Balance has been long guaranteed by the United States, growing Chinese militarism poses great challenges and impact to security policies and official reactions of its neighbors, affecting bilateral relationships marked by weight of history, and that seems to lead to a regional arms race and imminent conflict.
