Depredación organizacional

Abstract

The concept of predation in the field of the organization is commonly associated with deterioration of their resources, but to approach it from the population ecology, the analysis focuses on the relationships between the organization’s actors and the interaction of three main variables: the power of the players, the intimacy between them and the lethality of their performances, the latter two on loan from the functional classification proposed by the population ecology and key in the predator-prey relationship. The paper presents an approach to exploit this knowledge available from the ecology and argues that their study provides an understanding of strategy and management styles in the organization.
