Política pública de resocialización. Diagnóstico de la cárcel La Picota de Bogotá. 2004-2013

Abstract

The prison system in Colombia is going through an unprecedented crisis overcrowding. The overcrowding in the prisons and poor health services, food and hygiene impede the habitability of inmates in prison and violates the prisoners’ fundamental and human rights. Resocialization, through the Plan of Action and Opportunities System (PASO), presents many difficulties for implementation in the Penitentiary and Prison Complex (COMEB) – La Picota. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the conditions and opportunities that provide a decent prison treatment during the period 2004-2013, and provide recommendations for improvement.
