SUMMARY.
This research seeks to understand the imaginary and practices of physical activity of the individual (Parents or guardians) of a community in Bogotá with certain characteristics, such as low socioeconomic status, with few job opportunities and unmet basic needs, in order to make proposals that respond in a more real way to what the subjects considered important to improve their habits and their own quality of life and that of his family. All this considering the influence of parents or guardians who have the responsibility to educate and instruct their children.
According to Guevara in his study called the family relationship school "The family is the first institution that influences the child because it conveys values, customs and beliefs through daily living". It is also the first educational and socializing institution for the child, "because from birth, the kid begins to live the formative influence of the family environment" p. 7 (Guevara Niebla, 1996)
Methodology: Initially a thorough search and analysis of articles related to social imaginary, socioeconomic status and physical activity was performed. For the present study, it was taken into account a qualitative approach where thinking becomes important subjects and knowledge is built from experiences in their own context. For the interpretation of the data obtained through the mapping and focus groups the (atlas ti version 7.0.) was used. Results: The analysis obtained thanks to the Atlas 7.0 program, data like the context if it affects the practices of these subjects were obtained. There were also recognized different dynamics made by individuals within their territory, in relation to the imaginaries it was evidenced in the various speeches, that physical activity is recognized as an important element because they represent a protective factor against mortality, as also as a factor that reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, approaching the arguments of some authors (Astudillo - García, 2003), (Alfonso Martin, 2004), (Alfonso Martin, 2004).
For the practices it was evident that socio-economic conditions affect the practices of subjects within their context and it was understood that there are opportunities like support networks and obstacles like insecurity that affect these practices in different ways. Conclusions: The subjects of this zonal planning unit located in the Suba have different needs that are affecting their health and that with promotion programs and prevention through physical activity, and state investment to improve the stage, they can improve their practices and influence the well-being of all these people as well as lower levels of inequality that promote civil disobedience, crime and criminality.
The exercise of this research has been very enriching, because through the mapping and focus groups it was managed to be part of a community, listening to their speeches, understand their concerns and share life experiences. This research also becomes an important tool to plan and develop intervention strategies that can achieve a real impact on the population
