The aim of this study is to develop, through a deep documentary and empirical literature review, a theoretical foundation on whether or not there is impact of HR practices on work-related wellbeing of employees, and the degree in which this relationship is present with job satisfaction and employee engagement. A review of multiple studies was conducted in order to obtain empirical evidence of the relationship between the main human resource practices – recruitment and selection, training and development, employee promotion, performance appraisal, compensation and payment, and balance work-family – and the well-being at work of the employees, represented by their engagement and work satisfaction. The results of the present study indicate the existence of a relationship and impact between human resource practices, work-related wellbeing, engagement and job satisfaction. Likewise, it was found that these relationships are mainly positive, which indicates that organizations that develop such practices, foster not only its development and presence, as its perdurability.
