Análisis de la cooperación técnica de Naciones Unidas hacia Colombia, en el cumplimiento del “Programa de acción de Naciones Unidas sobre tráfico de armas pequeñas y ligeras” 2008-2012

Abstract

This case of study aims to examine the trade in small arms and light weapons in Colombia, and the implication of international cooperation to address this phenomenon in the country. To do this, the United Nations technical cooperation will be discussed in Colombia regarding illicit SALW trafficking, and thus to study their correlation with the needs of the country to fulfill the objectives of the "Programme of Action of the United Nations on the illicit trade of SALW "2008-2012. To achieve this, it aims to meet the following specific objectives: Determine the objectives of the Programme of Action as a tool to achieve greater control of the illegal trade in small arms and light weapons; Colombia needs analysis regarding the implementation of the Programme of Action of the United Nations on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms; and examine guidelines developed in technical cooperation in Colombia United Nations regarding illicit trafficking in small arms and light weapons.
