Análisis de los factores políticos que incidieron en la participación de los partidos kurdos PDK y UPK en la guerra de Irak 2003–2009

Abstract

This case study focuses on identifying what were the factors that motivated the participation of Kurdish parties PUK and KDP in 2003 to 2009 of Iraq invasion. Based on the theoretical assumptions of realistic and liberal authors as K.Waltz, M. Ayoob, R. Keohane and J. Nye, The dynamics and interactions are studied that allowed to establish rapprochement with the United States with a specific emphasis the political interest of the Kurdish parties. The Iraqi Kurdistan turns into the key area to the United States approach to the area and the political interest allowed to establish a scenario of cooperation and interdependence, increasing both the participation and the autonomy of the Kurds in the dynamics of the country and the region.
