Tensiones entre el universalismo de los derechos humanos y el relativismo cultural entorno al derecho contra la tortura y otros tratos crueles, inhumanos y degradantes

Abstract

The present research aims to analyze how the right against torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment reflects the tension between the postulates of Universalism of Human Rights and Cultural Relativism. These discrepancies focus on the visions of ethics and morality, the sense of justice, absolute values and social constructions. For which a methodology of qualitative character is used that prioritizes the work of archiving and semi-structured interviews to experts on the subject.
