| dc.description.abstract | Drifting is a documentary film in 2013 under the direction and production of Laura Díaz and Sara Trejos, both journalism and sociology students from Universidad del Rosario. It tells the story of the labor crisis suffered by the San Juan de Dios Hospital and Instituto Materno Infantil workers in Bogotá. Those institutions closed in 2001 without a proper ending of more than1500 worker's contracts, people who are still waiting for an answer to their claims.
This work intends to bring the viewers close to the daily life of the ones affected by this conflict and the ways they have found to resist it. This documentary shows multiple struggle strategies, from the traditional manifastations, protets, legal actions, to occupation of spaces or the creation and strengthening of friend and community bonds. | |
