Análisis de las transformaciones territoriales derivadas de la actividad agrícola con Organismos Genéticamente Modificados. Estudio de caso: Algodón y Maíz en el Norte de Tolima.

Abstract

The interest of this paper is to analyze the territorial transformations that are derived from the use of the agricultural biotechnology in the rural environments. The analysis starts from three scales, An international scale for assess the main elements resulting from international cooperation and negotiation in the field of biotechnology, based on a globalist approach to international relations. A national scale to characterize the development of agricultural biotechnology in Colombia and, finally, a local scale, delimited in Ambalema, Tolima to find, from a multidisciplinary view of the territory, the main elements that transform the rural environments, elements ranging from the Rural land management to cultural, social and economic aspects that stem from the use of agricultural biotechnology.
