La Clasificación de Boko Haram como un grupo terrorista desde una perspectiva discursiva de Estados Unidos (2009-2014)

Abstract

It is difficult to find consensus regarding the concept terrorism, this is in fact because the term has been constructed through discourse by specific actors in order to achieve goals in politics. In the process of categorization Boko Haram as a terrorist group by the State Department of the United States it is shown that through the adoption of this category, there is a strengthening of cooperation in diverse areas that cover not only military affairs but also social issues, most importantly education. This cooperation is expressed through a bilateral as well as a multilateral level, in many initiatives and programs that are legitimized through discourse.
