| dc.description.abstract | The study aims to apply the tool described in the book "Análisis estructural de sectores estratégicos” (Structural analysis of strategic sectors) in order to determine the levels of overcrowding, convergence and morbidity of the industr (Restrepo Puerta & Rivera Rodríguez, ¿Por qué la convergencia estratégica puede originar la mortalidad empresarial?, 2005)ial sector of the company Intraplas Ltda., located in the city of Bogotá, that belongs to the PVC resin transforming in coveredge used in the manufacturing of RTA furniture. Then, the conclusions obtained in this study will be used to design a strategic model based on the theories of Porter, which will allow the company to refocus its efforts to areas of little or no crowded market through proper fit between their strategic position, its competitive advantages and value chain appropriately configured, giving in this way to the company a structured tool that increases its ability to survive profitably over time.
