With the end of unipolarity, not only mechanisms of global governance like International Regimes were strengthened, non-state actors were strengthened as well. Despite the importance of these two elements, nowadays a theory that fully explains the relationship between them doesn’t exist. Consequently, the investigation seeks to answer how the role of Transnational Advocacy Networks has affected the evolution of the human trafficking regime in the Mekong Region. Similarly, it has as a goal understanding the relationship between the regime and the Transnational Advocacy Networks through a case study based in qualitative methodologies, specifically, in theoretical constructivist analysis and content analysis of documents elaborated by state and non-state actors.
