The present case of study aims to analyze the influence of the Tokyo Governorate in the
formulation of the Foreign Policy of Japan in the dispute over the Senkau/Diaoyu islands. This papers identifies the biggest developments of the Foreign Security Policy of Japan after the Second World War. Based on that, the study makes emphasis in the bilateral Sinojapanese security relations to understand the importance of the international dispute of the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands in the relations between China and Japan. In order to accomplish that, takes into account the concepts of paradiplomacy, alongside the concepts of identity and role in Foreign Policy developed by the Constructivism paradigm in the International Relations field of study, for the purpose of analyze the influence of Tokyo in the development of the Foreign Policy of Japan in the dispute over the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands.
