Perfil logístico de Colombia; sector papel y cartón

Abstract

Nowadays, Colombia has not performed enough logistics studies to analyze important and relevant aspects to each sector of the country and it is a partly due to the limited information and technology. This is the reason why will conduct research on the logistics sector profile of manufacturing paper and paperboard, in order to improve the relevant information and thus help the country and companies as well, which operate in current environment. In this way to solve problems that may arise regarding the logistics implementation, reach improvements and help to productivity and competitiveness of Colombia. This sector was chosen because this is one of the highlights at country level and with growth potential in the short term due to it makes contributions to economic activities, productivity and competitiveness of Colombia in large-scale proportions. This sector belongs to the CIIU 210 code by classification of the "International Standard Industrial Code" being one of the most competitive in the country. On the other hand, a world sector analysis will be performed in order to identify problems and opportunities in the country for increasing its efficiency in different logistics aspects such as transport, storage, manufacturing times, among others. For these aspects, several variables have been taken: the trade balance, Gross Domestic Product and productivity that currently has the country.
