Violence, omissions and structures faced by LGBTI community individuals

Abstract

As starting point, this article interprets and makes a diagnosis of the content in the Inter-American Commission report called “Violence against LGBTI people”. From there it explicit other forms of violence such as the institutional violence, which begins with the breaching of the obligations to respect and the warranty over those people’s rights. Additionally thistext works on the issue of legislative and conventional omissions, and identifies some of the traditional domain structures, those that impede the recognition and protection of this community’s rights.
