Resumen
This paper aims to analyze the opportunities that Colombia has against different markets like Japan and Israel, countries which from the beginning of this project are negotiating free trade agreements. In order to do a more specific analysis, the paper focuses on the research of the products that are currently exported to these markets, the participation of them and defining those that have potential once the treaty enters in force. Likewise, we take a look of the history and approach the economies of Japan and Colombia, as Israel and Colombia, have had so far, which allows us to suggest strategies and propose a strengthening way these products Colombia can compete with in the markets previous examined. Finally, market profiles of the economies of interest are evaluated in order to determine and describe the current situation in trade terms between Colombia and those countries. The purpose of this document is to provide guidance to Colombian entrepreneurs who plan to access the above-mentioned markets.
