De las lógicas de integración chilenas al acercamiento de América Latina y Asia del Este. Una mirada desde APEC y FOCALAE. 1996 – 2004

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to do a review of the processes of integration and cooperation that exist actually in the International System, from the experience of the APEC and FEALAC. It discusses how a State makes changes in his foreign policy, affect the international stage and give place to approaches, which in turn lead to the creation of new channels of communication between States and regions of the world. APEC and FEALAC are studied, to know the real status of these forums respect integration and what they represents in terms of opportunities for the members. It´s a review of the approach of Latin America and East Asia through the evolution of the concept of regionalism which was adopted as a political strategy for Chile is done and that has influenced the development of both forums.
