Resumen
The interest of this study is to explain the impact of the U.S. patent system in the South African public health policy since 2000 to 2012. Because of the high costs that this system imposes on the prices of medicines especially for treating HIV / AIDS and malaria, two of the most evils ills of South African population. It then seeks to explain and establish the changes that has implemented the South African government in its public health policy through the creation of an emerging generic pharmaceutical industry which partially alleviates this situation, but that is insufficient because its primary interest is to maintain a good bilateral relations with United States before undergoing any retaliation as India and Brazil went through.
