Resumen
The main purpose of this case study is to show a diagnosis on the situation of sexual slavery in Colombia, based on the progress of actions undertaken by international organizations and the State, during 2007 and 2010. Accordingly, we used a three key concepts: Globalization, Human Rights and Gender Perspective in order to make a description of the phenomenon of human trade. They arise as particular purposes to contextualize the phenomenon of trafficking and its global impact; identify the role of the participation of the United Nations Organization and its special office UNODC against the crime of sexual slavery in Colombia.
